Job Description

Clearing Solutions team is responsible for launch of OTC derivatives product and services for CME Group. Clearing & Post-Trade Product Mgmt Analyst will assist in identifying requirements from our external clients/firms as well as internal teams as Research and Sales. S/he will assist in validation of clearing solutions & requirements. The Analyst will partner with internal groups including Clearing Risk, Sales, Marketing, Enterprise Architecture, Technology, Execution and Strategy and Legal to expand and strengthen Clearing Services.

Position Accountabilities:

  • Aids in creating detailed requirement specification documents for both external and internal teams.

  • Prepare documentation for external client validation meetings. Take detailed notes in internal & external meetings and follow up on action items.

  • Engage with clearing firms & clients to validate requirements to get feedback before requirement finalization to avoid any delay in product or service rollout.

  • Engage with technology teams(Dev & QA) for requirement walkthrough and doubt clarification.

  • Prepare and execute on the UAT test plan as well as ensure external adoption of the solution.

  • Educate CME internal teams before production rolls out on the changes.

  • Provide support for IT production and client services teams and escalate issues as necessary.

  • Helps customers on their queries related CME clearing services

  • Help automate & streamline regular tasks.

  • Develop QA tools (Build/Enhance/Scale), add unit tests and build checkout scripts for number comparisons with NR / Production numbers and support validation during checkouts

Skills & Software Requirements:

  • Good understanding of derivatives products structure, pricing and cash flows.(Basis, Swap, OIS, FRA, VNS, FX Forwards, Equity Swaps).

  • Intermediate knowledge in SQL Queries and Microsoft Excel.

  • Basic knowledge of front, middle and back-office operations and systems, particularly related to OTC (IRS & FX) Clearing and Exchange operations.

  • Excellent communication skills working across all levels of an organization.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Multi-tasking and attention to detail are critical.

  • Strong organization skills and an ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Knowledge of VBA, Python is beneficial. Knowledge on Tableau is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree required in Finance

  • Work Experience- 2 to 5 years in a financial industry related experience is desired.
