Due to the rapid growth in data volumes and complexity, and the organization’s strategic pivot toward digital and AI capabilities, Euronext has made the decision to transition from a Centralized to a Federated Data Governance Model. Under this new approach, each business domain is responsible for implementing its own data governance programme, with direction and support from the Group Data Governance team. The Clearing domain, responsible for managing the Clearing data of Euronext, is now seeking a dedicated Data Steward to collaborate with the Data Governance Lead ensuring metadata management, data quality, and compliance across its data assets, and to help embed governance practices into day-to-day operations.

Key responsibilities

Data Governance alignment & strategy

  • Partner with the Data Governance Lead to operationalize enterprise data policies, standards, and guidelines within the domain.
  • Act as the voice of the business domain providing feedback to the Data Governance Lead on the practicality, challenges, and impact of enterprise policies.
  • Identify, log, and resolve domain-specific data issues, escalating to the Data Governance Lead for broader resolution.
  • Promoting data literacy and awareness of data governance practices across domain teams

Data Cataloguing: Data Asset & Metadata Management

  • Ensuring accurate documentation of domain data assets in the enterprise data catalogue.
  • Managing metadata (glossary, lineage) and processes to ensure proper use of data being read, created, collected, reported, updated, or deleted.
  • Maintaining proper data lineage, user interactions, transformations along the data pipeline.
  • Updating business terms and technical definitions within metadata management tool.
  • Support the classification & tagging of sensitive or critical data and the identification of repositories that hold this data

Data Quality Management

  • Maintaining and improving the quality, integrity, and accuracy of domain data assets.
  • Creation of data quality checks within enterprise data observability tool
  • Monitoring key data quality indicators (DQIs) and resolving data issues in collaboration with business and IT.
  • Collaborating with business and IT to define and enforce data standards, business rules, and validation checks.
  • Track and report domain data quality metrics to the Data Governance Lead to contribute to the group data health scorecard.

Data Product Support (Data Mesh Aligned)

  • Supporting domain data product owners in the documentation and governance of data products.
  • Ensuring data products are properly described, discoverable, and aligned with metadata standards.
  • Contribution to the definition of data product quality metrics, SLAs, and lifecycle documentation.
  • 3+ years experience in data management, business analysis, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding and experience of data governance principles, data quality management, and metadata management.
  • Familiarity with data governance tools (Data Catalog’s, Data Quality Observability)
  • Demonstrate a minimum level of expertise in SQL for data extraction and manipulation
  • Display curiosity for emerging technologies and artificial intelligence solutions
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across business and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship-building skills to successfully navigate a matrixed environment.
  • Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
  • CDMP Qualification a plus

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Experience working in a federated data governance or decentralized data environment
