We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Clearing and Settlements Team Leader

The Clearing and Settlements Team Leader accountable for the end-to-end delivery of Futures and Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD) Operations, ensuring executed trades are captured, cleared and booked on trade date, T+1 breaks are investigated and resolved, and positions are reconciled and reported accurately to exchanges, clearing houses and regulators. The role leads a team of 10+ derivatives SMEs and operates in a global, matrix environment, partnering with key US regional stakeholders and other global counterparts to align priorities, standardize execution, and deliver a controlled and resilient operating model.

Primary Responsibilities

Lead the Futures and Derivatives Operations team responsible for the following:

• Monitor FIS middle wear (Clearvision) for trade acceptance and clearance

• Enter Pit and EFP (Exchange for physical) tickets.

• Perform trade allocations

• Monitoring Give ups/ins, handling queries from external brokers and internal traders.

• Perform allocations via Traiana

• Research and resolve trade / position breaks

• Manage all futures and options lifecycle events (Option exercise / assignments, deliveries, P&S etc.).

• Book average price trades and manage residuals

• Run EOD PCS reports which are sent the exchanges

• Provide leadership, coaching and performance management for a team of 10+ SMEs; set clear objectives, ensure appropriate coverage, and build capability/succession

• Own day-to-day service delivery and control outcomes for Futures Operations, ensure timely completion of all critical processes and exchange deadlines

• Drive alignment, coordinating with key US stakeholders to agree priorities, manage dependencies and deliver consistent outcomes

• Act as senior escalation point for complex trade capture, allocation, lifecycle and position issues; ensure effective triage, root-cause analysis and sustainable remediation

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• Strong understanding of Futures and Options products and markets (Exchange Traded Derivatives)

• BA/BS degree

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

• Excellent understanding of Operational risk, procedures and controls

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to drive root-cause fixes, not just resolution

• Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in Futures /Derivative Operations, including leadership responsibility

• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively with global/regional stakeholders
