POSITION EXPECTATIONS
Position Expectations
The Clearance Center Leads provides essential support in overall operations, excellent customer service, sales floor functions and cash handling. Assist management in the proper store operation by performing assigned advanced tasks and providing leadership to assigned team members.
Responsibilities
- Assists in overall daily operations in every department.
- Maintains “table swap” floor plan and advises team members which tables and merchandise to rotate as customer flow allows.
- Completes store deposits, cash reports and is accountable for drawer overages and shortages.
- Performs voids, price checks, inquiries, and credits at register.
- Communicates issues to management in a timely manner.
- Maintains sales floor appearance, cleanliness and shopping environment including but not limited to floor care, cash register, customer service areas, aisles, trash cans, lights, restrooms, glass showcase, window ledges and doors.
- Ensures quality customer service is presented and provided by team members in a timely and courteous manner to all customers, donors, and other team members.
- Handle answering the phone and routing calls to upper management as needed
- Maintains a safe work environment and ensures sales floor is free of obstacles and hazards.
- Assists in any other projects or tasks as determined by management.
Environmental Factors
Majority of duties will be conducted in assigned Goodwill Attended Donation Centers where no cooling or heating will be available. Exposure to extreme heat, cold, dust and humidity may be a possibility.
Physical Factors
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Prolonged standing, walking, reaching, stooping, lifting, pulling, bending, kneeling when dealing with repairs.
QualificationsEducation, Experience, and Requirements
- High school/ GED completion.
- Minimum of 1 year retail experience as a cashier preferred.
- Proven reliability and meeting attendance expectations.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills with excellent communication skills.
- Bilingual a plus.
- Exhibits a high level of integrity and business ethics.
- Exhibits a high level of adaptability and flexibility.
