We currently have an opportunity to join our Street Cleansing team as an Cleansing HGV Driver/Operative.

Your role:

You’ll be responsible for driving HGV street cleansing vehicles and carrying out loading duties across waste management operations, in line with service requirements. Working within a safetyfocused environment, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to keeping local areas clean by undertaking street cleansing activities such as litter collection, loading and emptying bins, and maintaining the appearance of public spaces. Prioritising high standards of health and safety is essential, alongside delivering excellent customer care.

The role also involves maintaining designated areas to a high standard, ensuring highways and public spaces remain clean and wellpresented. Duties include a range of cleansing tasks such as litter picking, bin emptying and handsweeping, along with the safe and efficient operation of cleansing vehicles in accordance with relevant legislation and operational procedures.

What you will need:

You will need to hold a full UK Driver’s License, LGV Class 2 Category C licence, and hold a valid driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) to enable you to competently operate street cleansing HGV collection vehicles within a highly technical and safety orientated environment.
