Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cleanroom Janitorial Supervisor to oversee the daily cleaning and maintenance operations within our cleanroom environment in a manufacturing facility. The supervisor will be responsible for ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with strict industry standards, while also managing a team of janitorial staff. The role demands strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a safe and contamination-free environment for the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor Cleaning Procedures:

Oversee cleaning and disinfecting tasks in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or other applicable industry standards, ensuring all areas are free of contaminants.

Maintain Cleanroom Compliance:

Ensure compliance with internal and external cleanliness standards, including ISO certifications, FDA regulations, and other applicable cleanliness requirements.

Routine Inspections & Audits:

Conduct regular inspections of cleanroom areas, identifying potential issues or risks related to cleanliness or contamination, and reporting findings to the Facilities Manager or Operations Manager.

Inventory & Supplies Management:

Monitor the inventory of cleaning materials and equipment; ensure that all necessary supplies are available, and order replacements as needed.

Training & Development:

Provide ongoing training to janitorial staff on proper cleanroom cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and contamination control protocols.

Safety & Hazard Management:

Ensure all cleaning operations are carried out safely, including adherence to safety protocols and use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    Minimum of 3 years of experience in janitorial or custodial services, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role in a cleanroom or controlled environment.
  • Knowledge:

    Strong understanding of cleanroom protocols, contamination control, and industry-specific regulations (e.g., ISO, FDA, GMP).
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management
    • Problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
    • Knowledge of safety and hazard protocols in a cleanroom environment
  • Certifications (Preferred):
    • Cleanroom Certification (e.g., ISO 14644)
    • OSHA 10
    • Any other relevant certifications specific to cleanroom environments or industrial cleaning
  • Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent (required).

    A degree or certification in Facilities Management, Environmental Services, or related fields (preferred).
