Salary: £28,792 per annum

39 hours per week

Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 15:00 (14:00 finish every Friday)

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Cleaning Team Leader at HMP Wymott in Leyland.

Join our dedicated Facilities Management team delivering essential services within a secure Ministry of Justice environment. This role plays a vital part in maintaining clean, safe and compliant facilities that support the daily operation of the prison and the wellbeing of staff, visitors and residents.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cleaning supervisor or team leader looking to develop their career with a long-term, stable employer. With no weekend working, an early Friday finish and genuine opportunities for progression, this role offers an excellent work-life balance alongside meaningful and rewarding work.

What You Will Do

• Lead, motivate and support a team of cleaners to consistently deliver high standards across the site.
• Ensure cleaning activities are completed safely, efficiently and in line with contractual and compliance requirements.
• Carry out inspections and audits, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and following up on corrective actions.
• Manage cleaning materials, consumables and equipment to ensure effective service delivery.
• Promote a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH and safe working procedures.
• Build a collaborative team environment that delivers excellent service standards every day.

What You Will Bring

• Previous experience in a Cleaning Supervisor, Cleaning Team Leader or similar leadership role.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan workloads and support team performance.
• A proactive and reliable approach with excellent communication skills.
• Experience working within facilities management, large sites or operational environments.
• Ability to work confidently within a secure prison environment.
• IOSH Managing Safely and/or BICSc qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Security Clearance

This role is based within a secure Ministry of Justice environment and is subject to a Standard DBS check and prison security clearance. Amey will fully support successful candidates through the vetting process. Please note that appointment is subject to satisfactory clearance being obtained.
