Salary Range: $68,163.71 - $83,126.48 per annum. Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional non-partisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice, administrative support and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous employer, separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.

The Precinct Services department is seeking a detail-oriented, dependable and proactive individual for the regular full-time position of Cleaning Operations Supervisor.

Reporting to the Legislative Facility Manager, the Cleaning Operations Supervisor (Supervisor) oversees the day-to-day and evening cleaning operations of the Legislative Precinct. The Supervisor ensures that high cleanliness standards, safety requirements, and service expectations are consistently met. The Supervisor provides direct supervision to in‑house cleaning staff, oversees contracted service providers, and performs nightly cleaning duties to maintain operational coverage.

Qualifications

Applicants must have:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in commercial, institutional, or government cleaning operations including at least one year of experience in a supervisory/team lead role.
  • Experience managing contracted services and overseeing service agreements.
  • Experience preparing budgets and monitoring expenditures related to cleaning operations.

Preference may be given to candidates with the following:

  • Completion of Building Service Worker Levels 1-3 courses.
  • Experience with carpet steam cleaning and hard-surface floor care and cleaning including the use of floor cleaning equipment.

About Atira Women's Resource Society

Our mission at Atira Women's Resource Society is twofold: to provide direct services to women and children fleeing violence, and to raise awareness of all forms of gendered violence through education and advocacy.

Since 1983, Atira has offered safe and supportive housing to women and children impacted by violence, as well as a range of services in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside, Burnaby, Surrey, White Rock, and Richmond.

These services include: long-term and transitional housing, shelter programs, housing outreach and homelessness prevention programs, outreach to senior women and First Nations, Metis and Inuit women affected by violence, support for parents and children who witness abuse, legal support, Stopping the Violence counseling, the 16-step program, and self-employment initiatives.

Our programs are accessible to anyone who identifies and lives full time as a woman and who experiences gendered violence and misogyny, including trans, two spirit and intersex women and or those who identify with a femme of centre non-binary gender.
