Job Description
As our Cleaning & Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibility will be to perform general cleaning duties, which represent approximately 80% of the role, while ensuring the property is maintained in a clean, safe, and welcoming condition for our residents. The remaining responsibilities will include completing day-to-day minor maintenance repairs to a high standard, contributing to the overall satisfaction and comfort of our residents. Additional duties are outlined below.
Responsibilities will include, at a minimum:
• Performing minor maintenance repairs and preventative maintenance as required;
• Maintaining the cleanliness and overall upkeep of buildings, common areas, and vacant units;
• Completing daily cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, garbage removal, and restroom servicing;
• Responding to maintenance requests and emergency calls in a timely manner;
• Conducting daily inspections and identifying safety or maintenance concerns;
• Performing seasonal duties such as snow removal and landscaping as required;
• Following all health and safety procedures when using cleaning products and equipment; and
• Performing other related duties within the scope of the role.
Must Haves
• Must be speaking French.
• Must be live-in.
• Working knowledge and professional experience in a wide variety of maintenance and light construction tasks including basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical and finishing work.
• Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Must be proficient using a computer and MS-Office.
Additional Information
• Must have own vehicle with a clean drivers abstract.
• Must have tools necessary to complete all tasks.
• Available and able to work on the rotational emergency on call schedule.
• Evening and weekend hours required from time-to-time.
