West Midlands Fire Service (WMFS) is the second largest in the country, delivering prevention, protection and response services across the West Midlands.
Within the cleaning services department we are currently servicing 38 fire stations, our transport workshop and our Command Development Centre, plus our main headquarters in Birmingham. The post-holder would report to the Cleaning and Catering Manager, within Facilities Management.
This permanent post is based at one of our fire stations. However, there are frequent opportunities for overtime, providing cover at other stations.
The role entails cleaning offices, hallways, stairs, mess rooms, toilets and changing facilities.
You would be working on your own in the station, so you would need to work using your own initiative to the cleaning specification set by your line manager.
