Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, performs cleaning and housekeeping duties. Cleans and washes floors, walls, furnishings, fixtures, etc. Changes linens. Washes blankets, towels, etc.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities:
Able to carry out housekeeping tasks in the assigned areas, such as cleaning administrative offices, disinfecting washrooms, laundry rooms, kitchens, etc. with the use of equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, ladders, mops, brooms, cleaning accessories, linen cart, etc. Demonstrated ability to carry out general repairs and perform moderately to strenuous physical tasks such as climbing ladders, washing walls, lifting garbage cans and carrying to exterior dumpster, moving furniture, pushing/pulling equipment, shoveling entrances. Responsible for informing the Cleaning Service Coordinator of any irregularities or defects; takes measures to correct the situation. Ability to clearly transmit and receive instructions. Knowledge of French and English. McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing.
Additional Information:
Work schedule is Monday to Friday; 6h30 - 14h30.
