Job Description

Find your purpose joining CentraCare and the St. Cloud Hospital as a Hospital Cleaner (EVS), working to keep our patients safe and our facilities clean. We are seeking qualified Day Shiftworkers with good communication skills for various Part time morning shifts.

This is a fast-paced position that requires interacting and communicating with others while sanitizing patient rooms and public spaces throughout the hospital. Previous experience in housekeeping or commercial cleaning is ideal but not required.

You will need to communicate fluently in this position as you will have direct contact with patients, families, doctors, nurses and other staff members that will need to conduct conversations with you during the work shift.

Schedule:

  • Days | 8-hour shifts | Start Times may be 5:30am or 7am.
  • Part-time | 16 - 40 Hours every two weeks (Current openings are all part time).
  • Casual | 0-8 Hours every two weeks (one weekend a month scheduled, with picking-up shift options)
  • Every other weekend/holiday rotations

Pay and Benefits (Total Rewards):

  • Wage rates start at $17.02 per hour offering more with experience.
    • Full pay range for this position is $17.00 to $25.54 hourly.
  • Weekend shift differential is + $1.05 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write simple task requests and reports, and communicate well with others required.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • May be required to wear Hospital Scrubs (pants)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age due to handling of cleaning chemicals and operating mechanical lifts
  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent

Duties:

  • Hospital cleaners sanitize rooms during patient's stays, and after patients are discharged.
  • Tasks include: vacuuming, mopping, changing bedding and re-stocking bathrooms.
  • Position includes working with chemicals and coming in contact with bodily fluids.
  • PPE is required and provided to protect your health and safety!
