Job Brief:

The Cleaner ensures that the Suswastha Project office environment is clean, hygienic, and safe for staff, visitors, and operations. This role focuses on routine cleaning tasks, waste management, and maintaining overall office sanitation.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain office floors, carpets, windows, furniture, and common areas.
• Empty trash bins and ensure proper disposal of office waste.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and pantry areas.
• Maintain cleaning supplies and report inventory needs to the supervisor.
• Follow cleaning schedules to ensure consistent hygiene standards.
• Assist in setting up and tidying meeting rooms and events spaces.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues (e.g., leaks, broken furniture, electrical problems).
• Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning equipment and materials.
• Perform additional cleaning-related tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Supervisory:

• This role has no direct reports.

Education & Experience:

• Completion of secondary education helpful.
• Previous cleaning or janitorial experience helpful.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to perform physical work and manage routine cleaning tasks.
• Attention to detail and reliability.
• Punctual, disciplined, and able to follow instructions.
• Basic English skills desired.
• Good interpersonal and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work part of a team.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• The physical requirements that may be needed to execute responsibilities may include bending, standing, and walking, etc.
• The mental requirements that are essential to satisfactorily executing the responsibilities outlined in this job description include, but are not limited to: learning new tasks, comprehending, and retaining information, completing tasks independently, effectively communicating verbally and in writing, demonstrating proficiency in using computer software to perform assigned tasks.

Working Conditions, Travel and Environment:

• LWR to the country has an in-person work policy, with all employees reporting to the office Monday through Friday. The employee must be available to work outside normal office hours or on the weekends as required.
• While performing the duties of this job in different locations, the employee may be exposed to precarious settings under high-security risks and/or very basic living conditions and outside weather conditions, as well as to infectious diseases.
• If applicable, must have authorization to work in the country of assignment.
