Job Description

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to maintain cleanliness in a school environment in Bendigo. This part-time position is crucial for ensuring a safe and hygienic space for students and staff. The ideal candidate will contribute to a positive learning atmosphere by upholding high standards of cleanliness and organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces
  • Ensure all areas, including classrooms, restrooms, and common areas, are kept clean and tidy
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and cleaning protocols
  • Assist in the setup and packing away of furniture for school events as required
  • Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stored safely and used correctly

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a cleaning role, preferably in an educational or similar environment
  • A valid Working with Children (WWC) check
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Good time management skills and ability to work independently
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning products and equipment
