Our Property Management team is seeking a full-time Cleaner to join our operations team at our Crystal Beach Community in Ottawa's west end. This hands-on role is ideal for a dependable cleaning professional with a customer-first mindset who takes pride in creating and maintaining clean, safe and welcoming living environments for our residents.

Compensation

• $18 – $20 per hour.
• Three weeks of paid vacation, starting on day 1 of employment.
• Participation in our annual bonus program.
• Additionally, all employees participate in our comprehensive benefits program, which includes health, dental, and prescription drug coverage for both employees and their dependents, with 100% of premiums covered by the employer.

Responsibilities

In addition to the responsibilities typically expected of a cleaning professional, responsibilities will include:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, laundry rooms, and common areas to ensure high hygiene standards.
• Empty garbage and ensure that waste is disposed of safely and properly.
• Perform occasional deep cleaning including scrubbing baseboards, cleaning appliances, and refinishing floors.
• Respond to any cleaning work orders submitted by the property management team.
• Occasionally engage in snow removal during winter months.
• Perform daily inspections of common areas and report any maintenance issues to the property operations team.
• Follow all safety protocols and use all assigned personal protective equipment appropriately.

Qualifications

• Friendly, respectable, and community minded, with strong interpersonal skills.
• Must have a valid, class G drivers license and access to a personal vehicle.
• Previous cleaning experience considered an asset, but is not required.
• Comfortable working both independently and part of a team.
• Ability to perform a variety of repetitive physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods of time.
• Basic English verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to provide professional references and proven record of reliable work attendance.

Additional Information

• Work will be completed on-site at our Crystal Beach community at 1 Ullsway Drive, Ottawa.
• All successful candidates will be required to complete a criminal record check (CRC) as a condition of employment.
• Ability to respond to emergencies during regular operating hours.
• Participation in an after-hours rotational emergency response team may be required.
