About the Centre

Warragul Leisure Centre is a community-focused facility offering a wide range of recreational, fitness, and aquatic services. Managed by YMCA Victoria on behalf of the Baw Baw Shire Council, the centre caters to individuals and families of all ages and abilities. Warragul Leisure Centre boasts 3 indoor pool areas including an 8 lane 25m pool, program pool and attached splash park and warm water pool.

About the role

As a Cleaner atWarragul Leisure Centre , you will be responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness throughout the centre and ensuring that the centre is presented in a professional manner. This will involve carrying out all duties involved in the general upkeep of the facility.

As a customer facing staff member, the Cleaner must be able to interact with customers and provide a positive experience.

The Centre operates over a range of hours with the Cleaner being available to work Monday to Friday 1pm-3pm & 8pm-11pm and Saturday & Sunday 5pm-8pm.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure the centre is clean, safe, maintained and well presented at all times and complete checklists as required
  • Report to relevant area supervisors on any issues that arise on your shift
  • Daily cleaning duties for the entire centre including the setting up and packing away of equipment
  • Carry out emergency and spot cleaning as required
  • Ensure equipment is safely used and doesn’t present a hazard to the general public, where appropriate use advisory signage and cordon off areas

This is a Casual position and the hourly rate is $31.18 + superannuation + Y Benefits.

  • HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
