Job Description
We have a new opportunity for a part time Cleaner at our Extra Care Scheme, Castle Ham Lodge in Okehampton.
As a Cleaner, you will play an important role in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our residents. Working as part of a supportive team, you will ensure that all communal areas and offices are consistently kept to a high standard. This role also calls for a sensitive and respectful approach when working within a community of older and potentially vulnerable residents.
Hours of work:
This is a part-time, permanent position offering 7 hours per week
- One working day is fixed (Wednesday)
- The second day is flexible, to be agreed between Monday and Friday
- Hours will be worked between 8am and 4pm.
Key responsibilities:
- To work as part of a team to ensure that communal areas and offices are clean and tidy
- To maintain an adequate supply of cleaning materials and ensure they are stored securely according to COSHH guidelines
- To wash paintwork and clean windows and doors as required
- Following and promoting policies and procedures, with particular attention to standards of customer service, health and safety, and equality and diversity.
About you:
- Experience of cleaning in a professional or commercial setting
- Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements and COSHH guidelines
