This role is based in Taree.

About the Role:

The Cleaner position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all Biripi offices and Medical Centre's to a high standard and inline with internal policies and procedures, WHS, and infection control.

Applicants must have experience working in cleaning operations.

Multiple positions available, working up to 20 hours per week.

The key objectives of the role include:

• Ensure effective cleaning of premises in a timely manner for the effective implementation of the facilities as per job duties attached including general cleaning, infection control, blood and body fluids, waste disposal, clean and stock restrooms, clean floors and surrounding areas.
• Clean and sanitise assigned areas, including floors, surfaces, bathrooms, and kitchens, and office spaces.
• Comply with cleaning checklist for each Biripi site.
• Take an active role in maintaining workplace health and safety standards as they relate to cleaning including maintaining material data safety sheets (MDSS), utilising PPE where appropriate and following all work instructions.
• Understand and comply with manual handling requirements.
• Understand and comply with infection control and prevention policies and procedures where relevant.
• Accurately tracking usage of cleaning materials to ensure continued supply and provide documentation on maintenance of cleaning assets and supply orders

Essential Criteria:

• Experience in cleaning operations; commercial, industrial or healthcare facilities
• Experience performing cleaning services to a high standard and a good knowledge of the requirements of hygiene and clean facilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours - 5:00pm - 12:00am.
• Demonstrated experience in planning and organising with limited supervision
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise tact, initiative and sound judgement
• Experience identifying WH&S hazards in a workplace environment
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with staff teams.
• Analysis and problems solving skills
• Be able to meet the physical demands of a labour-intensive role.
• Ability to work to time constraints
• Ability to hold all relevant security clearances including the National Police Check and Working with Children clearances.
• Current valid drivers licence.
