Cleaner – Affordable Housing | Rio Grande + Cape May, NJ

Salary: $16.00 - $18.00| Full-Time| Monday–Friday, 40hrs

What You Bring as a Cleaner

You’re someone who sees the details that make a home feel cared for. You bring:

• A high school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of custodial or janitorial experience (apartment or facility cleaning a plus).
• Knowledge of cleaning products, safety procedures, and environmental hazards.
• Good communication and customer-service skills to interact with residents, visitors, and team members.
• Time-management skills and the ability to shift tasks as priorities change.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance for scheduled shifts.
• OSHA or hazardous materials training a plus, we’ll help you build your skills with ongoing safety training.

How You’ll Make an Impact

As a Cleaner, you’re essential to maintaining the heart of our community. Each day, you’ll:

• Keep common areas spotless — sweep, mop, vacuum, polish, and disinfect throughout hallways, laundry rooms, restrooms, and community spaces.
• Maintain curb appeal — help with groundskeeping, trash removal, and light outdoor tasks as assigned.
• Support the team — assist maintenance staff with apartment clean-outs, light painting, bulb changes, and basic upkeep.
• Prioritize safety — follow proper storage and handling of cleaning materials and report any maintenance or environmental issues immediately.
• Show care — ensure residents and guests always experience a clean, welcoming environment.
