
To clean reception area, lifts, toilets and site gym
· Vacuum and mop floors to maintain a clean, presentable entrance.
· Wipe and sanitise reception desks, surfaces, and entrance glass to remove fingerprints and visible marks.
· Clean high‑touch points such as door handles, switches, and handrails.
· Dust ledges, skirting boards, and accessible surfaces to maintain a tidy appearance.
· Arrange furniture neatly and keep seating areas presentable.
· Spot‑clean visible marks on walls, floors, and glass.
· Report faults or hazards (e.g., damaged furniture, lighting issues).
· Clean and disinfect lift buttons, rails, and doors, which are high‑touch points.
· Wipe interior walls and mirrors to remove smudges and fingerprints.
· Sweep and mop lift floors using appropriate cleaning products.
· Check for odours and spills and address them promptly.
· Report mechanical or safety issues (e.g., flickering lights, unusual noises).
· Ensure hazard signs are used if cleaning requires the lift to be temporarily out of service.
· Clean and disinfect toilets, urinals, sinks, taps, and counters thoroughly.
· Clean mirrors and polish chrome fixtures.
· Sweep and mop floors with disinfectant, ensuring slip‑resistant surfaces.
· Restock consumables such as toilet paper, soap, paper towels, and sanitary bags.
· Empty sanitary bins and waste bins safely and hygienically.
· Spot‑clean partitions, doors, and walls to remove marks.
· Check for leaks, blockages, or damage and leave report for site management.
· Use correct PPE and chemical handling procedures in line with safety standards.
· Use correct cleaning equipment and materials for each surface.
· Erect hazard warning signs (wet floor, cleaning in progress).
· Follow organisational cleaning standards and schedules.
· Store cleaning equipment safely after use.
· Dispose of used cleaning materials correctly and follow recycling procedures.
· Maintain professional conduct when working around staff or visitors.
· Essential Skills
· Attention to detail — spotting marks, smudges, spills, and areas needing extra care
· Time management — completing multiple areas (reception, lifts, toilets, gym) within shift windows
· Independence & reliability — working alone with minimal supervision and maintaining high standards
· Operation of cleaning tools — steam cleaners, buffers, vacuums, disinfectant sprayers
· Commercial cleaning experience in offices, public buildings, or hospitality environments (reception & lifts).
· Washroom sanitation experience, including disinfecting toilets, sinks, partitions, and restocking consumables.
Weekly Hours - 12.5 per week / Salary £12.71 p/h
