
Solterra Academy provides comprehensive special education for students aged 5 to 22 requiring intensive intervention due to severe emotional, behavioral, cognitive, developmental, and/or learning challenges. Join our team as a Classroom Support Staff member, assisting teachers and support teams in implementing academic, vocational, and behavioral programs in the classroom and surrounding school environment. Under teacher and administration supervision, you'll provide support for activities, transitions, and implement needed behavioral interventions. Record student performance data and contribute to creating a safe environment through effective TCI and PBIS practices. This role may involve rotating among various classrooms.
$1,000 Sign On Bonus Available
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 2:45 PM (In-Person)
Summer Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM (In-Person)
Please note: This position requires a year-round commitment, including both the regular school year and our summer session. We do not offer summer-only employment.

Solterra Academy is a therapeutic day program providing comprehensive special education services to students, ages 5 to 21, who require intensive intervention due to emotional, behavioral, cognitive, developmental, and/or learning problems. Disabilities served include: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Disabilities, Emotional Disturbance, Intellectual Disabilities, Multiple Disabilities, Specific Learning Disabilities, Traumatic Brain Injury and Other Health Impairments. The school is designed to provide a high level of structure and support, as well as an integrated array of services to address each child’s unique profile.
The goal of Solterra Academy is to foster independence in all aspects of the students’ development so they may be successfully transitioned back to their home school district. We believe that children can realize their potential, given an environment that is supportive, developmentally appropriate and geared to specific individual needs. We are dedicated to the development of a sense of cooperation, self-motivation, adjustment, and academic accomplishment for each child.
At Solterra Academy, family involvement and support is a priority. Counseling, parent education, and 24-hour crisis intervention services are provided.
