The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Classified Cloud Senior Manager to join the team in Hazelwood, MO.

As a Senior Manager in our Classified Cloud Infrastructure Organization, you will be instrumental in building a world-class capability that sets us apart as a leader in cloud innovation. You will challenge conventional approaches, champion a cloud-first strategy, and deliver outstanding experiences to both internal teams and external partners.

Bringing deep expertise in cloud technologies and platforms, you will lead United States (U.S.) based, cross-functional teams to foster a culture of innovation, operational excellence, and creativity. As a visionary leader, you will drive the development of end-to-end solutions that enhance the resilience, security, and scalability of our cloud services.

This role demands a unique combination of strategic insight and executional discipline to ensure our platforms and practices align with industry’s best practices and stay ahead of market trends. You will be accountable for delivering cloud landing zones, infrastructure automation, observability, and operational excellence, all while maintaining alignment with governance and compliance standards. In addition, you will migrate a portfolio of applications to the cloud and enable people to build on Virtual Machines (VMs) or in Azure Kubernetes Services for containers. Collaborating closely with Engineering, you will focus on the platform layer, the infrastructure and services that drive cloud adoption.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Govern cloud infrastructure standards and deliver cloud architecture that advances the program cloud capabilities roadmap
  • Lead an automation-first initiative by implementing Infrastructure-as-Code and automated compliance controls
  • Partner with Engineering, and Cybersecurity, and ensure Governance patterns align platform capabilities to enterprise roadmaps and business priorities
  • Mentor technology teams, enforce technical excellence, and guide adoption of modern platform DevSecOps practices
  • Own execution of the cloud infrastructure roadmap, translating strategic objectives into prioritized and measurable delivery plans with clear milestones, dependencies, risks, and outcomes
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing cloud infrastructure organization, establishing clear accountability, technical ownership, career development, succession planning, and performance expectations
  • Lead technology teams responsible for the architecture, delivery, operation, and continuous improvement of secure Microsoft Azure infrastructure and platform services
  • Lead the migration and modernization of a portfolio of on-premises applications and infrastructure services to Microsoft Azure, including migration planning, dependency management, prioritization, sequencing, risk management, execution, and operational transition
  • Lead efforts to automate platform delivery and compliance so teams can deploy reliably and maintain required controls with less manual efforts
  • Manage execution and relationships across internal teams and external partners supporting classified cloud infrastructure capabilities

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)
  • 10+ years of experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • 5+ years of experience in defining operational processes, implementing DevOps, and deployment checklists
  • 5+ years of experience in vulnerability management, risk assessment, and/or security analytics
  • 5+ years of experience writing and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Bicep, ARM, or Terraform
  • 5+ years of experience in leading teams and team development
  • 5+ years of experience communicating complex technical risks, translating impact, and advising senior leaders
  • 5+ years of experience leading server technology, infrastructure and services projects (server hardware, operating systems, virtualization, middleware, and cloud enabling software.)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master’s or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in leadership or management role leading technical teams to drive execution
  • 10+ years of experience basic networking concepts
  • Experience with leadership in delivering Azure platform services such as networking, compute, AKS, overseverity, identity/security, governance, and automation across enterprise environment
  • Experience leading application and infrastructure migration or modernization programs
  • Experience developing cloud strategies, technology roadmaps, investment plans, workforce strategies, and executive-level recommendations
  • Experience managing technology suppliers, contractors, or strategic technology partners

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range $161,500 – $218,500

Potential signing bonus for eligible/qualified external candidates.
