As the Agency’s Classification and Compensation subject matter expert, you will work closely with supervisors, managers, and Appointing Authorities to provide guidance and consultation.
With your knowledge, you will ensure that all position descriptions support agency goals, align with state and federal regulations, and accurately describe the work and training needed to meet business needs.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is eager to apply independent judgment and utilize creative critical thinking to resolve highly complex classification and compensation challenges.

Among the varied range of responsibilities held within this role, the Classification & Compensation Manager’s duties will include,
Work Setting, including hazards: Work is performed in an office environment.
Schedule: Typically, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. May be required to work occasional weekends and evenings, depending on workload.
Travel Requirements: Some travel may be required throughout the State to attend training, meetings, and conferences.
Customer Interactions: Interact with WDFW staff and external partners (such as Office of Financial Management (OFM), union partners, Labor Relations Office (LRO), and Attorney General's Office (AGO)).
A combination of education and experience may substitute for the education requirement.
