Felix Primary School is seeking to appoint an exceptional teacher who is passionate about inspiring a love of learning and nurturing the whole child. We are looking for someone committed to developing pupils’ personal, social and emotional skills, while driving high academic achievement for all. You will join a highly ambitious, dedicated and supportive staff team, united by a shared mission to create a school experience that is both academically rigorous and deeply enriching for every child.

This is a school in which our community and the children in our care are at the heart of everything we do. We are very proud of our school and the work that all our children and staff do here. We believe in supporting the whole child as an individual and our school has something for everyone throughout their journey from Reception to Year 6.

As a small local school, we aim to create an outstanding learning community for each and every pupil; inspiring them with a love of learning and ensuring that they have the appropriate skills to help move forward confidently up to high school.

We are part of a highly successful trust, Sapientia. The Trust offers a plethora of continuing professional development and networking opportunities for all members of staff. We have 11 other primary schools and work collaboratively.

We are looking for a Class Teacher who is passionate about education and has the energy and drive in wanting to continuously improve as a professional. We are looking for a candidate who is a life-long learner, flexible and eager to work as part of highly committed team that aims to create a nurturing and truly unique school that is confident to be different.

You will:

  • be an excellent teacher who understands what highly effective teaching and learning looks like and feels like in the classroom
  • have excellent communication skills, a warm and caring disposition and a good sense of humour
  • understand the importance of an inclusive environment, have high expectations of pupil behaviour and values the importance of relationships, belonging and wellbeing
  • be a team player who is welcoming and has excellent interpersonal skills, working with a high level of professionalism
  • has a proven track record of raising standards and improving pupil outcomes
  • is passionate and experienced in inclusion and SEND provision, ensuring every child reaches their full potential
  • Is committed to collaborative leadership, working with staff, parents, and the Trust to achieve excellence.
