Somersham Primary School are seeking a Class Teacher who is passionate about meeting the needs of every child and passionate about working within a mixed-age class.

You will bring experience in both KS1 and EYFS, along with a strong commitment to maintaining high standards. You will also demonstrate a positive approach to collaboration and teamwork, contributing fully to our supportive school community.

You will

  • promote a caring and supportive environment in which children can flourish and succeed
  • be passionate about maintaining high standards, promoting active learning and challenge for all through a creative curriculum
  • have a secure understanding of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum
  • be reflective in your practice and be willing to learn from others as well as to model good practice across the school
  • be excited about the opportunities working in our federation presents for CPD, career progression and varied experience.

Somersham is a welcoming village school located 4 miles outside Ipswich. We are in a federation with Bramford CEVCP School and have a shared vision of ‘Living in Unity…Together we are ACE (aspiration and combined excellence for everybody).’ A shared executive headteacher and governing body ensure consistency and a unified strategic vision across the school, fostering high standards, strong leadership, and a cohesive learning environment for both staff and pupils.
