Key Commercial Delivery Driver Job Responsibilities

Schedule: Full time, 4-5 days/week, early morning shifts, overtime required.

• Delivery & Customer Service: Deliver products safely, accurately, and efficiently while providing exceptional service to customers.
• Order Verification & Documentation: Check, verify, and record delivery information and maintain accurate sales records.
• Load & Unload: Safely load and unload trucks, ensuring products are handled and stored properly.
• Problem Resolution: Coordinate with office staff to resolve delivery or service issues promptly.
• Returns: Collect returns, empty containers, or unsold items as needed.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Clean truck interior, perform routine inspections, and complete minor maintenance tasks to ensure safe operation.

Qualifications: Commercial Delivery Driver Qualifications

• Age Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Licensing (Required): Valid California Class A (strongly preferred) or B Commercial Driver License with air brake endorsement. Must have a driving record that meets company and DOT standards (no DUIs).
• Experience (Preferred): At least 1 year of commercial driving experience and prior work in produce or food distribution is a plus.
• Navigation Skills: Able to read maps, follow routes, and make timely deliveries.
• Technology: Comfortable using smartphones or delivery apps for routing and communication.
• Communication: Basic English reading, writing, and speaking skills.
