Job Description

Mack Industries is looking for an experienced Class A CDL driver with experience in flatbed transportation, heavy haul, and operating a self-unloading crane. In this position one will travel daily to construction jobsites to safely deliver engineered and NPCA specified precast concrete products.

NCCCO Certification a Plus!

Position requires local travel, home each night!

Starting wages $28-$32/hr., can exceed with experiences!

Requirements

Essential Functions

• Transport high quality precast products that meet engineering and NPCA specifications
• Maneuvering the truck's self-loading mechanism to efficiently load and unload cargo, including adjusting the loading angle and utilizing hydraulics to lift and position materials
• Carry-out the daily delivery plan as communicated by dispatch
• Follow company and DOT safety regulations
• Report all MVR incidents to dispatch and complete incident reporting
• Perform safety and material inventory before leaving the facility and/or job site
• Report all safety violations and incidents to Management
• Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment before leaving the facility and/or job sites
• Willingness to develop new skills and progress current skills
• Willingness to assist other departments as needed

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Self-loader experience a plus
• Minimum 3 years’ driving experience
• NCCCO certification a plus
• Highschool diploma or equivalent
• Flatbed experience a must
• Able to haul oversize and heavy loads
• Valid CDL Class A Driver’s License with a clean driving record and valid DOT medical card
• Basic mechanical knowledge to identify and report potential issues the truck and self-loading system
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Environment Conditions and Physical Strain

• Construction environment, seasonal weather conditions
• Due to the nature of the operation, the levels of noise, dust and dirt can be high.
• Must be able to maneuver around the truck and perform tasks requiring physical strength due to potential loading and unloading requirements
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs., on occasion
• Must be able to stand & sit for extended periods of time
• Must be able to squat, crawl, climb and kneel to complete tasks
