Job Description

Power Mechanical, Inc. is seeking a hardworking, career-oriented person of good character to fill a Class A CDL Driver position within our organization.

The CDL Class A Driver position is responsible for, but not limited to:

• Transportation of large goods
• Safe and responsible operation of equipment
• Performing pre-trip and post trip inspections
• Ability to perform general maintenance on vehicle
• Safely loading, transporting, and parking box trailers, low boys, and flatbeds
• Complying with state and federal laws and regulations
• Complying with company policies, standards, and guidelines
• Reporting vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, and/or damage before and after every trip
• Lifting 75+ lbs.
• Securing loads with chains and cables

This position requires:

• Amazing customer service
• Effective communication
• A valid driver’s license with a Class A
• A passing DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
• Driving long distances
• 2 years of experience driving and a high school diploma or an equivalent; it is preferred that the driver has completed a post-secondary degree involving truck driving with a PTDI (Professional Truck Driver Institute) certified school.
• Must be 21 or older

Candidate should be willing and able to learn, be dependable, and have a good work ethic. This position is fulltime and requires overtime. A candidate with non-essential abilities, such as welding certifications, or who has a mechanical or electrical background is preferred.
