The opportunity:

Positions available for experienced Truck & Trailer Drivers to support our Visy Freight Division team, across Metro and Long-haul routes. With Visy you're NOT just a driver You are part of a team where your contributions are valued, and your career can grow.

Role Details:

Routes: linehaul runs across both the North and South Islands or Metro runs across Auckland.
Locations: Based out of Wiri Auckland.
Hours: Full-time permanent positions working minimum 40 hours per week with opportunities for overtime. please note if working our long-haul runs, you may be away for 1-2 nights at a time.

What you'll do:

• Operate Single or B-Train combinations for timely and efficient freight pick-up and delivery.
• Build strong relationships with our customers with friendly service.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and compliant.
• Accurately complete electronic reporting systems and other required documentation.
• Comply with all company/site policies and state and national transport regulations, including Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility laws.
• Adhere to all load restraint guidelines to ensure freight is securely transported.

What you will bring to the team:

• A valid Clean Class 5 Licence and Dangerous goods licence.
• A minimum of 2 years’ recent experience operating Class 5 single trailer and or B-Train trucks.
• Experience with Curtain Siders, Truck & Trailer or Container Trailers is desirable.
• Sound knowledge of the regional areas and South Island routes.
• Excellent communication, time management skills and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• A comprehensive understanding of road, fatigue, and load restraint laws.
• Pride in the presentation and maintenance of trucks and equipment.
