The Cass 3 Advanced School Resource Officer is a swotn law enforcement officer, with arrest powers,
who works within Beaufort County School District's elementary schools. In this position, the Cass 3
Advanced School Resource Officer will receive specialized training on how to work with youth. This
position's work schedule will follow the same schedule as the administrative/teaching staff of the
Beaufort County School District.
South Carolina Code 23-23-60 (B) sets the minimum standards for law enforcement certification in South Carolina. Applicants must meet the following qualifications for employment:
All applicants tentatively selected for a position with Beaufort County Council will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for the illegal use of drugs and to a background check prior to appointment. Employment is contingent upon clearing both the drug screening and background investigation.
