Sunrise Poultry Processors Ltd is one of the top 25 Food and Beverage manufacturers in Canada, and has a primary focus on the process and distribution of quality products.

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Class 1 driver who is safety-focused and knowledgeable in the National Safety Code regulations for Commercial Motor Vehicles. The candidate must have time-management abilities, practice due diligence, and have a sense of accountability due to day-to-day working environment involving minimal direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle such as condition of equipment.
• Safety must come first daily.
• On-time delivery.
• Excellent attendance.
• Delivering live poultry from Hatchery to farm.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years issued Class 1 license with air brake (Q) endorsement
• Clean Commercial Driver’s Abstract printed within 30 days.
• Resume with minimum of 3 years working experience with references*
• Provincial/Federal Daily Driver’s Log experience
• Experience with transporting livestock is an asset
• Positive attitude and work ethic
• The chosen candidate will be expected to perform the following duties
• Operating tractor units as far north as Ponoka, Alberta
• No border crossing trips required
• Responsible for transporting day old chicks from the Hatchery to farm locations
