Midland Transport is currently seeking a professional Class1 Linehaul Shunt Driver based out of Moncton Terminal, NB.

The selected candidate will be a reliable person with a strong work ethic and great and positive attitude with a commitment to provide a Superior Quality Service.

Main Role:

Driver will be responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely movement of units between the Tissue Plant, Master Packaging, and Midland yards. This role requires strong time management skills. When local shunting is unavailable, the driver may be required to complete regional runs within the Maritimes.

Shift: 4 days on – 4 days off (0600-1800 or 1800-0600)

• Operate a tractor trailer and move units between assigned yards and Midland terminals safely and efficiently

• Perform local runs or operate within the Maritimes when local shunting is unavailable

• Refuel refrigerated units as required

• Maintain company equipment in accordance with established standards

• Communicate effectively with the Supervisor

• Immediately report any incidents, accidents, injuries, or damage

• Complete all required pre trip, en route, and post trip inspections in accordance with legal requirements

• Education Required: High School or GED.

• Class 1 driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years’ safe tractor driving experience required.

• Clean driver’s abstract and criminal search.

• Good communication skills.

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Able to lift to 50 lbs. using the proper equipment.

• Excellent work ethic and reliability.

• Safety conscious.
