Role: Class 1 Car Transporter Driver

Hours: Full time, 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Location: Bristol,BS2 9SH

Salary: Skill dependent

The role:

We’re looking for an experienced Class 1 Car Transporter Driver to join our Transport department based out of our site in Bristol.

Key responsibilities:

• Driving an 7/8 car slide car transporter
• Liaising with customers to arrange vehicle collections
• Understand and abide by driver’s hours and working time directive regulations.
• Use of Tachographs, digital and analogue.
• Complete daily vehicle check sheets and defect reports as directed by the Transport Managers.
• Observe all relevant driving laws and regulations.
• Always provide good customer service (via telephone or face to face).
• Observe all health and safety requirements as directed.
• Always maintain tidiness and cleanliness as directed.
• Any other duties as directed by the Transport Managers.
• Report all load damage to vehicles or property in-line with Company procedures.
• Carry out vehicle damage appraisals to a high level of accuracy at all times.

The ideal candidate:

• You must have; Clean driving licence, Driver CPC (or in the process of obtaining) a Digital Tacho card
• The ability to work both as part of a team and by yourself.
• Customer facing so a professional approach to both the job and customers is essential.
• Strong work ethic.
• Hold a full HGV C&E (Class 1 ) licence.
• Are an experienced and professional driver
• Experience of car transporters preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work in a complex, fast paced transport function.
• Interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to overcome problems.
• Experience of working to deadlines with quality output.
• Smart & professional appearance.
• Proven experience of delivering exceptional service to customers.
