The Role

The Claims Technician will sit within the Howden Superyachts claims team and play a key role in supporting the day-to-day administration and processing of claims activity. You’ll be responsible for the accurate handling of claim payments, bordereaux preparation and submissions for a key crew medical facility, while ensuring claims records, reporting and administrative processes are maintained to a high standard.

What you'll do

• Process claim payments accurately and within agreed timescales
• Prepare and submit bordereaux for an important crew medical facility
• Set up new claims on internal systems, ensuring complete and accurate records
• Verify payment requests and supporting documentation prior to processing
• Maintain claim diaries and monitor outstanding actions to support effective claims management
• Close claims on systems promptly and accurately once all requirements have been completed
• Produce regular claims statistics, reports and management information for the team
• Support claims handlers with administrative activities that contribute to service delivery
• Maintain high standards of data quality and record keeping across all claims files
• Contribute to claims-related projects and process improvement initiatives as business requirements evolve

Who we're looking for

• Demonstrable experience using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Ability to work accurately with numerical data and financial information
• Experience managing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
• Proven ability to work effectively within a team while taking ownership of individual responsibilities
