Job Description

At TAL, this role plays a vital part in helping customers navigate important moments with confidence by ensuring income replacement payments are managed accurately, compliantly and with care. Combining expertise in claims, tax and technology, the role helps create seamless experiences for customers while supporting continuous improvement across the claims business. By connecting operational excellence with regulatory requirements and innovative solutions, this role contributes to TAL’s purpose of protecting Australians and helping them live life with confidence.

In this role you will:

  • Provide expert PAYG guidance that enables accurate, compliant claims outcomes.
  • Resolve complex tax, payment and system issues to minimise risk and improve customer experience.
  • Drive business readiness activities that support successful delivery of claims technology initiatives.
  • Partner with business, technology and external stakeholders to deliver effective, fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Lead user acceptance and operational validation to ensure solutions meet business and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, data quality and system performance across Claims operations.

Qualifications

  • Bring experience in life insurance claims and a strong understanding of claims processes and customer outcomes.
  • Apply analytical thinking and attention to detail to solve complex payment, tax and system-related issues.
  • Communicate complex information clearly and confidently to support understanding and informed decision-making.
  • Build trusted relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across business and technology teams.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and manage competing demands while consistently delivering quality outcomes.
  • Share knowledge, coach others and contribute to a culture of learning, support and continuous improvement.
