Job Description

At Wesfarmers, we’re self-insured for workers compensation. Group TeamCover manages this important function by engaging and collaborating with our diverse businesses. We aim to minimise the impact of workplace injuries and achieve positive outcomes for both our team members and our business.

This position will play a key role in supporting Group TeamCover through the provision of timely and accurate claim support and administrative activities that enable the effective operation of the claims function, while identifying, designing and implementing process improvements and automation solutions to improve efficiency, quality and consistency.

Key responsibilities

· Delivers timely, accurate and efficient claims administrative support, ensuring all activities are completed in line with required standards, timeframes, performance and quality expectations.

· Completes claim-related activities, including documentation, correspondence and stakeholder liaison, maintaining consistency and compliance across all touchpoints.

· Maintains accurate and well-organised documentation and records associated with claim support activities, ensuring quality, consistency and compliance requirements are met.

· Identifies and implements process improvements that reduce duplication, enhance efficiency and strengthen consistency across claims support and broader Group TeamCover processes.

· Handles claim information in line with applicable privacy, confidentiality and security standards and requirements, and promptly escalates any identified or suspected breaches, risks or issues.

· Designs, builds and maintains automation, AI-enabled and digital solutions using Microsoft 365 and Power Platform tools (including Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI and SharePoint), along with other approved technologies, to streamline manual activities and improve operational efficiency across Group TeamCover.

· Models safe behaviours, raises hazards or concerns promptly, and contributes to a team culture where safety is a shared and active responsibility.

Skills and experience required

· Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing automation or digital solutions, such as Microsoft 365, Power Platform or similar tools.

· Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders to implement changes and support adoption of new processes or technologies.

· Experience in claims support, administration or a similar operational environment with an understanding of claims processes and workflows desirable.

· Proficiency in Microsoft 365, with demonstrated ability to build solutions using Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) or equivalent tools

· Understanding of process mapping and continuous improvement fundamentals desirable

· Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage documentation accurately under time pressure

· Effective written communication skills for correspondence and record-keeping

· Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a structured, methodical way

· Basic data literacy - able to maintain tracking tools, identify anomalies and escalate appropriately

· Microsoft Office Suite

· Detail-oriented - takes accuracy seriously and checks their own work

· Curious and technically inclined - genuinely interested in finding smarter ways to do things, particularly through technology

· Self-directed - can work through a task without needing constant direction
