The Primary job function is to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle vehicle mechanical repair claims under various coverage forms.

State specific pay scales for this role are as follows:
$44,466 to $77,881 (NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA)
$40,424 to $70,801 (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME)
$36,381 to $63,721 (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV)
In CA: Typical hiring range is $55,056.15 to $76,466.88
The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location.
Essential Job Functions:
Education:
• High School diploma or equivalent required (may include specialized automotive repair vocational courses.)• Pertinent state adjuster licenses are required• A minimum of one Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certificate must be maintained Experience:• At least 6 months experience as a Claims Specialist Trainee through the in-house training program.• Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience• Experience to handle mechanical protection claims normally is acquired through auto technician experience and/or service department service writer experience.
