Job Description

We are seeking a Claims Officer to manage insurance building claims from start to finish, ensuring exceptional service to our clients, insurers, subcontractors, and internal teams.

About the Role

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for insured customers, providing updates, coordinating schedules, and ensuring a smooth claims process. You’ll work closely with estimators, supervisors, and insurers while managing a variety of administrative tasks that keep projects moving efficiently.

This is a customer‑centric position where no two days are the same, perfect for someone who enjoys variety, problem‑solving, and delivering high‑quality service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, professional customer service via phone and email
  • Manage inboxes, allocate enquiries, and coordinate workflow
  • Log new claims and schedule customer appointments.
  • Process approvals, contracts, payments, and documentation
  • Keep customers updated throughout their claim
  • Allocate jobs to supervisors and track progress
  • Maintain and update internal and insurer systems
  • Support admin tasks including invoicing, data entry, and filing
  • Ensure compliance, assist with audits, and maintain accurate reporting
  • Manage claims end-to-end with a customer-first approach
  • Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and teams
  • Meet KPIs and contribute to a positive, safety-focused culture

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in insurance building or a similar claims‑based role (highly desirable)
  • Strong administration background with excellent computer skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and multiple internal systems
  • Fast and accurate typing skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Proactive, team‑oriented, and KPI‑drive
  • Positive attitude and willingness to support others
