This role focuses on assessing claims documentation, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, responding to customer inquiries, and ensuring claims are handled fairly, timely, and in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards—contributing to positive customer experiences and operational excellence.

Claims Service Representative ensures that subrogation claims are evaluated in a fair and reasonable manner within industry standards. They use imperial evidence and precedent settled judgments to actively negotiate the extent of liability on a claim and seek maximum recovery of the company’s losses. Ensures that fronting claims are handled as outlined in the agreements between GGIL and the respective Fronting Partner.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Motor & Non-Motor
1. Deliver Red Carpet Customer Service - contacting the claimant/producer/fronting partner and providing regular updates at various points of the claims process.
2. Interviewing Insured/Third party claimants
3. Processing payments, Handling queries, Assessing of liability, Appointing adjusters, Negotiating settlements, Setting Reserves Registering claims,
4. Responding to all correspondences within time stipulated in SOPs
5. Perform monthly and Zero reserve reviews of assigned claims
Subrogation
1. Deliver Red Carpet Customer Service - contacting the claimant/producer/fronting partner and providing regular updates at various points of the claims process.
2. Negotiate fair settlement of Third Party Insurer’s claims.
3. Review claim file and determine extent of liability and seek maximum subrogation recovery
4. Perform Quarterly Review of assigned claims
5. Processing of invoices from service providers, receipting of all recovery matters, reimbursements of refundable excesses to Insureds.
Fronting
1. Deliver Red Carpet Customer Service - contacting the claimant/producer/fronting partner and providing regular updates at various points of the claims process
2. To settle claims promptly, efficiently, equitably and in accordance with all contract conditions
3. To settle all fronting claims within the SOPs and guidelines of each partner company
4. Perform Quarterly Review of assigned claims
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• 2 A’ levels
• CII certificate or pursuing same
• Certificate in Property Insurance Principles & Practice
• 1 to 3 years experience in the General Insurance Industry 2 of which should be a in a similar position.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:
As a regulated entity with obligations under the Know Your Employee guidelines, a Certificate of Character is required.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
The Claims Service Rep. 3 must possess a strong and positive work ethic with customer service oriented acumen. Must have the ability to operate and contribute positively in a team-based environment and take initiative as evidenced by the ability to self-manage, organize and prioritize work. The incumbent will possess good written and oral communication skills including effective telephone skills. Demonstrate superior organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
