The Opportunity

In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll:

• Lead, coach and motivate a team of personal injury claims handlers to deliver high-quality customer and claims outcomes
• Own the outcome by managing relationships with a portfolio of industry-aligned customers and stakeholders
• Provide expert guidance on statutory and common law claims management and premium issues
• Use data and insights to monitor performance, identify trends and drive continuous improvement
• Lead confidently through change maintaining engagement, focus and resilience while unlocking what’s possible for your team

About You

You’re a calm and confident leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and leads by example. You bring a balance of empathy and accountability — supporting your team to perform at their best while delivering meaningful results.

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:

• Experience in a commercial insurance environment — ideally life insurance and/or personal injury claims management (highly desirable)
• Change management experience, including leading people through change to achieve business outcomes
• The ability to create a positive team culture that encourages growth and development – because we’re best together
• Proven success in leading teams to achieve goals and build strong, collaborative relationships
• Strong communication and relationship skills, delivering with heart the ability to empathise and deliver effective customer outcomes
• Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
