Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for training of all non-exempt personnel in the Claims department on procedures, policies, and mode of operations. This will be done by directly delivering content, developing content for learning, arranging for specialists to deliver content and by measuring the progress of the new hire. The trainer will also assist current employees with residual training needs or training on new processes, procedures or products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Represent the company in a positive and supportive manner for newly hired employees while producing newly trained employees that are capable of succeeding in their new role.
  • Responsible for developing training workflows, strategies and other training documentation.
  • Maintain a training database of all training content and ensure it stays current
  • Assist new hires post-training through side-by-side observation or in additional classroom support.
  • Assist in a production capacity as needed
  • Conduct employee surveys on training experience and adapt as necessary based on feedback.
  • Monitor employee performance and response to training.
  • Assist in developing workflows and other training documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
  • Experience with technologies and best practices for instructional manuals and teaching platforms
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
  • Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently. Ability to work with little supervision
  • Encouraging to team and staff: ability to mentor and lead
  • Successful completion of Health Care Sanctions background check.
  • Strong computer skills especially with Microsoft Office products
  • Strong technical acumen

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Associates degree in Education, Business, Human Resources or related field is preferred
  • Certification from talent and training associations a plus
  • Two (2) years’ previous experience as a trainer, corporate training specialist, teacher or related position. Each year of experience in claims processing may be substituted for not having previous training experience.
