Job Description

We are looking for an experience Claims and Underwriting Administrator to join our Insurance Policy Administration team. This role will be based at our Head Office in Cape Town.

Responsibillities:

• Accepts claims from clients, brokerage or related third party
• Captures new business policies
• Endorsements, Amendments and Renewal of policies
• Post-loss underwriting
• Analysis and claims rejection of claims
• Ensures cover exists and that claims are completed
• Negotiates claims settlements
• Follows up with Insurers for claims progress
• Liaises with clients on all aspects of the claim
• Sends notification to clients upon completion and repudiation of claims
• Effectively handles client queries
• Liaises with Insurers and Brokerage Salesforce to ensure correct claims administration
• Administers Bank confirmations

Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Computer literate
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in short term insurance claims and underwriting (essential)
• Sound knowledge of claims processes (repudiation, analysis, and assessor reports)
