Job Title: Claims and Freight Administrator

Reports To: Director of Supply Chain

Claims and Freight Administrator

This role will serve as the primary point of contact for all customer facing warranty claims, as well as negotiating with vendors and sales negotiations for claim loss recovery. Review Classification of defects, root cause, and chain of liability for claimed products. Work directly with customers and vendors to mitigate rejected quantities and reduce claimed losses. Review invoices for discrepancies and issue protests for overcharges and ensure invoice accuracy.

Claims and Freight Administrator Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure all required prerequisite information is provided prior to entering customer claims in ERP System. (Collecting Evidence of incidents, required forms, chain of custody, etc.)
• Conduct weekly meetings with claim disposition review, contested results, and non-standard cases.
• Follow up warranty claims until completely resolved (customer discounts, secondary sales, scrap reduction).
• Resolve open cases within 30 days.

Claims and Freight Administrator Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, engineering, or related discipline required
• 1–3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations preferred
• Experience with ISO / OSHA regulations preferred
• Ability to respond to common inquiries from customers, or members of the team.
• Strong Negotiation Skills
• Note taking skills and attention to detail with follow thru
