Basic Purpose
Promotes customer service while investigating and resolving claims against the company in a fair and equitable manner, minimizing financial loss to the company. Investigates and pursues claims against other parties who have damaged company property and maximize financial recoveries in a fair and equitable manner.

Essential Education, Skills, and Environment
Education and Work Experience
High school diploma or related certifications and one year of related work experience.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
Demonstrated knowledge of:
• Claims management software
• Experience in claims subrogation
• An understanding of claim investigation, assembling and organizing data in order to analyze the claim.
• A familiarity with utility delivery functions and objectives, including distribution construction and repair methods, tracking and costing systems.
• A familiarity with laws and industry regulations and practices relating to distribution facilities placement and liability for damage to these facilities.
Demonstrated skills such as:
• Effective oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills and customer relationship skills.
• Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
• Demonstrated ability to meet goals and produce desired results.
• Proficiency with Microsoft computer applications including Word, Excel and Access.
• Promotes teamwork and operates well in a rapidly changing business environment.
Equipment and Applications
PCs, word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
General office environment. Ability to work in extreme condition, including outside work. Ability to be on call 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, as scheduled.
