Job Description

Claims Adjuster-

Job Number:

261551-Full-time-Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Schneider is seeking a Claims Adjuster to investigate, analyze and resolve claims and incidents. The Claims Adjuster will negotiate claims involving property, injuries, freight, workers compensation and subrogation.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage initial and ongoing field investigations.
  • Secure all necessary information to properly evaluate claims made against Schneider.
  • Act as the single point of contact for all parties involved in managing a claim.
  • Review claims for negligence, liability exposure, damages, subrogation potential, fraud and more.
  • Ensure actions and strategies are executed that will provide the best overall outcome for the organization.
  • Accurately document all claims activities.
  • Manage vendors and validate supplier invoices prior to payment.

Skills and qualifications:

  • Associate degree or paralegal certificate
  • 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills.
