To investigate, evaluate, reserve, and resolve property claims via telephone adjusting with technical accuracy, sound judgment, and a strong commitment to service excellence, while adhering to all applicable claims service standards, policy provisions, and regulatory requirements.
· Completion of University degree/College diploma, and/or equivalent insurance-related education and experience.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Bilingual in English and French is an asset.
· Minimum 3 years of experience handling property claims or equivalent experience.
· CIP designation or a willingness to take CIP courses through the Insurance Institute is an asset.
· Superior customer service and negotiation skills.
· Thorough knowledge of the insurance business, knowledge of insurance contracts, and legal requirements and regulations.
· Excellent time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills required.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Proven ability to identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to positive change
