Your main responsibilities
– Directs and supports hourly quality technicians team members in daily QA processes; coordinates activities with the immediate manager to ensure alignment.
– Requisitions necessary materials, supplies, equipment, parts, and services to support production and function needs.
– Maintains and monitors key operational data and performance metrics.
– Demonstrates equipment operation and standard work procedures to new employees or assigns peer trainers for onboarding support.
– Monitors work areas for safety compliance and promptly addresses any infractions or hazards.
– Maintains accurate records related to training, staffing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
– Collaborates with the Quality Manager to implement and refine lean practices and continuous improvement strategies that enhance QA efficiency and productivity.
– Leads all continuous improvement (CI) projects within the Quality function and actively participates in CI initiatives impacting the broader Clinton team.
– Facilitates employee training and development to support operational excellence and career growth.
– Provides performance feedback and disciplinary recommendations in partnership with Human Resources and management.
– Maintains accurate time and attendance records for assigned team members.
– Willing to work alternate shifts as needed to support business demands.
– Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager to support departmental and organizational goals.
– Develops and implements Quality system standards and procedures, and process improvements to reduce the non-quality costs of indirect inspection.
– Determines the disposition of defective work-in-process manufactured parts and products, and returned goods, and collaborates with Manufacturing and engineering to establish required corrective action.
– Analyzes various reports, specifications, and prints to identify existing and potential quality problems.
– Conducts product experiments and statistical studies to determine root causes of quality problems.
– Investigates and recommends design and process revisions to reduce quality costs associated with manufacturing scrap, rework, and field warranty.
– Collaborates with Manufacturing and Engineering to implement Manufacturing process improvements and implementation of statistical control techniques.
– Collaborates with Manufacturing and Engineering on manufacturing processes, to establish Quality standards and allowable deviations from specifications, and to determine appropriate inspection requirements.
– Conduct detailed investigations and assessments of technical claims concerning elevator and escalator systems, pinpointing root causes of quality and safety issues. Recommend and implement corrective actions to ensure all claims adhere to industry standards and company policies, enhancing system reliability and safety.
– Participate in regulatory, third-party, and customer audits
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, fitters, and quality assurance specialists, to optimize product quality control processes. Lead efforts in existing installations and modernization projects to mitigate risks and improve system performance.
– Document comprehensive investigative findings and corrective measures, ensuring records are thorough and precise for future reference. Communicate these findings effectively to relevant stakeholders to ensure clear understanding and alignment on technical issues.
– Maintain regular and professional communication with internal and external stakeholders such as engineers, managers, and regulators, facilitating prompt resolution of claims. Foster collaborative working relationships while upholding company values.
– Guide and mentor other team members by sharing expertise and experiences, enhancing their capability to handle complex technical claims and effectively contribute to process improvement initiatives.
