Claim ClerkLocation: Irvine, CA (reporting remotely) Schedule: 8:00 am - 4:30pm (PST)Hourly Range: $20 - $22

Provides administrative and clerical support to claims personnel and team members, ensuring high-quality service aligned with CCMSI client expectations and corporate standards. Demonstrates flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Maintains strict confidentiality and discretion while contributing effectively as a collaborative team member in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for claims processing, including matching incoming mail to assigned accounts
  • Follow up on billing inquiries and outstanding items
  • File claim correspondence and maintain organized claim documentation
  • Set up new claim files and complete required setup tasks per instructions
  • Serve as backup support for reception duties as needed
  • Summarize correspondence and medical records in claim system notes and ensure proper filing
  • Retrieve, re-file, and manage closed claim files and storage systems
  • Maintain accurate and organized claim file storage
  • Photocopy and distribute claim documents as requested
  • Return provider and other calls as directed by claim staff
  • Support claim teams and client-specific service needs
  • Ensure compliance with team service commitments and performance standards

  • Knowledge of all lower level claim position responsibilities.
  • Must be detail oriented and a self-starter with strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize required.
  • Flexibility, accuracy, initiative and the ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Discretion and confidentiality required.
  • Reliable, predictable attendance within client service hours for the performance of this position.
  • Responsive to internal and external client needs.
  • Ability to clearly communicate verbally and/or in writing both internally and externally.

Education and/or Experience

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Nice to Have:

  • Bilingual (Spanish) proficiency — highly valued for communicating with claimants, employers, or vendors, but not required.
  • Computer Skills- Proficient in Microsoft Office & Proficient typing skills

Compensation & Compliance

The posted salary reflects CCMSI’s good-faith estimate in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, geographic location, and internal equity. This role may also qualify for bonuses or additional forms of pay.

CCMSI offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. Paid time off accrues throughout the year in accordance with company policy, with paid holidays and eligibility for retirement programs in accordance with plan documents.
