The Networks Engineering department in EMP works closely with ESB Networks, Eirgrid, and external contracting partners to deliver engineering, technical, and innovative solutions that are safe, sustainable, and commercially optimised in alignment with ESB's Net Zero by 2040 Strategy.
We are seeking an experienced technologist with a civil or structural technician background to contribute to our vision for a brighter future.
This position requires providing advanced civil and structural technician services to support the expansion of Ireland’s electrical transmission network and to help develop innovative engineering solutions for large capital infrastructure projects. Key responsibilities include preparing general arrangement and construction detail CAD drawings (civil and/or structural) and analysing collected data to produce effective civil and structural designs for transmission projects.

This role is based in our Dublin office, The Sidings Building, Dublin 2, but travel to project locations as required, is a key requirement of the role
The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least two anchor days per week. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual.
