Our award-winning client is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer who will work under the direction and guidance of project engineers to provide specifications, repair designs, technical documents, reports, calculations, field support, training and quality control to maximize the value of the company’s industry-leading corrosion services and products.

Responsibilities:

• Develop designs for structural steel and concrete restoration of transmission structures. Designs include the reinforcing, restoration, and support of transmission line towers and poles.

• Perform calculations for structural steel and concrete restoration designs. Designs include the reinforcing, restoration and support of transmission line towers and poles.

• Provide support for transmission structure projects within the steel and concrete services team (inspections, engineering, repairs, etc.) during the restoration phase.

• Perform engineering assessments, write reports and technical documents.

• Interact with customers and internal teams via phone, email, and web as necessary to support the team.

• Provide guidance to support field and customer training requirements relating to corrosion inspection and repair.

• Perform field inspections in accordance with contract requirements.

• Provide training, webinars and demos to support existing and potential field and customer training requirements.

• Assist in planning and prioritizing structural corrosion control within project guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (civil, structural).

• Successful completion of FE exam and EIT certification or willingness to take the exam within 6 months of employment.

• Prior experience or coursework with structural analysis, steel design, concrete design.

• Willingness to occasionally travel overnight.

• Reside near the Atlanta (midtown office) and can come into the office about 2 days a week.
